“SEGANTINIANA: THE CYCLE OF NIRVANA”

Swiss Corner is pleased to present a screening of the music video “SEGANTINIANA: THE CYCLE OF NIRVANA,” inspired by the series of paintings of the same name that Giovanni Segantini created between 1891 and 1897, dedicated to the themes of “Bad Mothers” and “The Punishment of the Lustful.”

The video, directed by the renowned Swiss filmmaker Adriano Kestenholz, offers a reinterpretation of Segantini’s series of paintings set to a strictly atonal composition written specifically for this project by the Swiss composer Luigi Quadranti for soprano, contralto, and eight instruments.
