Swiss Chamber Wins the FuoriOrticola Contest. With nearly 15,000 votes, the Swiss Corner flower display won First Prize in the Gallery category at the FuoriOrticola flower display contest, an initiative promotedby the Lombardy Orticola Association as part of its annual trade show.
On Sunday, May 14, at the event’s closing ceremony in the Porta Venezia Gardens in Milan, Alessandra Modenese Kauffmann, Secretary General of the Swiss Chamber, accepted the trophy announced by Orticola President Gianluca Brivio Sforza and presented by Csaba dalla Zorza —Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire Maison.
A success born of a fruitful and unprecedented collaboration among partners united by their excellence and their Swissness.
The seven Swiss Corner display windows were designed by Laboratorio Idee, the Italian branch of the Basel-based floral design school Atelier 5. The creative team masterfully interpreted Orticola’s 2023 theme, “The Intelligence of Plants,” drawing inspiration from the root system and plants’ subtle ability to move. All floral materials were supplied by technical partner Lombarda Flor.
Ricola’s spectacular indoor display was also very well received by the public; its nine backlit panels recreated the magnificent Swiss Alpine landscapes featuring its renowned 13 herbs. LAMBRO, Repower’s electric cargo bike, also became a key element of the outdoor concept, serving as both an example of sustainability and a design object.
